As you know, we are so happy to continually be able to dedicate much of our time to giving back to our community. We support a number of charity organizations throughout the year locally and nationally and this month we focused our efforts with 2 charities: Take Stock in Children and Girl Power To Cure (see our facebook page for more details and pictures from the later). According to the Take Stock in Children website, "Take Stock in Children was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization in Florida that provides a unique opportunity for deserving low-income youth/students, many from minority families, to escape the cycle of poverty through education. They offer our students college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors and hope for a better life. Their comprehensive services start in middle school, continue through high school and include their transition into college. This year Nassau County had 42 Graduating High School Seniors at their Graduation Event."
We donated our services to provide formal "Cap and Gown" free to this organization. These portraits will be posted in our local newspaper and used by Take Stock In Children. We were able to offer Professional Portrait Packages to these families starting at just $30, this is extremely discounted from the typical cost for these portraits! We are so proud of this class of 2014. These students were from 6 surrounding High Schools in Nassau County, including Hilliard, West Nassau, Fernandina Beach, Yulee, Florida Virtual School, and Pathways Academy Charter High School.
