Connections- We were meant to work together - Boston Photography

Mid-July I was contacted by Kelly to book an outdoor family portrait session while she was on vacation in August.  After a few moments in conversation, I knew we were going to be working together and knew we would have a great session.  I LOVE connections.  This is one of the reasons that in most cases I require my locals to come in for consultations...I want that connection.  And for my vacationers, I do not just pass emails back and forth, but several phone calls because I want connections!  Kelly and I hit it off right away....well we are Kelly and Kellie (me), so of course!  After a few moments of conversation, I learned that she has been coming to Fernandina Beach for the past 7 years every August.  Her mom passed away 8 years ago (another connection...mine 12) and she comes down to her mother's house here locally to "heal". One thing I always ask during our phone conversations is, "How did you hear about me?".  She found me on google and since my name was "Kellie" and my last name is "Boston" and that is where this family is from....it was a perfect fit!  This was one time where my last name helped my session...I always joke that naming my business "Boston Photography LLC" was probably one of the worst business decisions I did 10 years ago, because I often get calls from Boston, Massachusetts wanting a session and one even last week from Boston UK...who knew.  Not only did we have a bunch of different connections, we had a beautiful session in Ft. Clinch State Park!
