It was a Mermaid Party - Boston Photography (Amelia Island Mermaid Portraits)

I knew from the moment I talked to Clairey on the phone early in January that our portrait session (mid-February) was going to be a riot!!!!!  She was helping coordinate an awesome girls weekend for one of her best friend's "Miki's" 40th Birthday.  5 ladies were all coming to Amelia Island for a long girls weekend to celebrate their friends BIG 4-0!  Clairey knew they wanted to surprise Miki with a portrait session, but did not want just any ole portrait session but something fun....so we mauled over ideas from Southern Plantation to Mermaids....and Mermaids it was.  Back and forth over the weeks prior to the shoot, Clairey and I came up with great locations and Mermaid Outfits for all of the ladies.  Clairey had shirts made that even said "Mer-Miki's Splash".  The backs of the shirts said, "Good friends are like stars, you don't always see them, but you know they are there.  Forty Fernandina Fabulous 2017".  Clairey even sent me pictures of all of the ladies coming that showcased them, which was perfect in our shoot preparation.  Before the girls arrived, I felt like I already knew them.  I had such a great time with Miki, Gina, Jennifer, Gail and Clairey!  I can't wait to hear how they did around our town for the birthday bash...I mean "Splash".
