J.LaRoche Hair Studio- Amelia Island Commercial Photography

I can't tell you how much I love working with local businesses to create personal branding sessions and stylized shoots that accent their craft or business! This was no different with Jill LaRoche with J.LaRoche Hair Studio in Fernandina Beach, FL. Now I have known Jill for several years as she has been the one behind my hair styles and I highly recommend her personally and professionally. So I was delighted when we were able to collaborate on a new commercial project when she was revising her website and I love how it turned out. Jill selected several clients to "model" their amazing hair! Even thought these ladies were not professional models you would have never known it and all did fabulous for their session. These were all done in our studio on Amelia Island. From start to finish, with all of these gorgeous ladies, we were finished with their shoot in just under 1.5 hours. Each woman was great to work with. I love the different hair colors, textures and styles that you see here that represents Jill's work.
So let me brag about my stylist Jill for a moment.....she has been in the beauty industry for over 25 years. She trained in Toronto, Spain, and London (where she graduated from Vidal Sassoon), and Boston. She spent 12 years in Los Angeles, handling professional photo shoots, movie set demands, and even the heads of some rock stars in bands like Journey and Foreigner! After establishing the successful J.Kelley Salon in 2000 in Maine, she moved to Amelia Island in 2015 opened her home studio by the gorgeous marshes of the Amelia River. Not only is she a rockstar with hair, she also makes her own hair products and is a licensed professional permanent makeup artist. From personal experience, what I love most is that when you are in her chair, you are the focus. There is no one else there, she is not handling multiple clients at once and each time I love the we are creating a new style. I personally change my hair often, so I love that Jill is continuing to educate herself and stay on top of her game with the latest techniques, styles, and even the crazy stuff that I love.
Check out some of the portraits from our session and a few of my hair over the years! Be sure to check out her new website too https://www.jlarochehair.com.
